Season of Giving: Sunny Govan's Festive Toy Appeal 2025
The holiday season is a time for joy and togetherness, but for many families in our community, it can also bring stress and hardship. In Govan, 40% of children live in poverty, with many parents struggling to afford the basics, let alone a special gift for Christmas.
That’s why we’re launching the “Season of Giving: Sunny Govan’s Festive Toy Appeal” again this year, with one simple goal: to ensure every child in our community wakes up on Christmas morning with a gift to open, experiencing the joy this season should bring.
Why Your Support Matters
For many families, Christmas can be a painful reminder of what they can’t provide. But with your help, we can turn it into a time of joy and hope. Every toy or donation makes a difference, helping to bring a smile to a child’s face.
Together, we can ensure that no child in Govan goes without a gift this holiday season.
Gift Ideas
If you’d like to donate, here are some age-specific gift suggestions:
Ages 0-3: Soft toys, bath toys, nursery storybooks
Ages 3-5: Books, toy cars, dolls, colouring books
Ages 5-9: Dolls, action figures, colouring sets
Ages 9-12: Games, sports equipment, scarves
Ages 12-16: Books, toiletries, hats, gloves
Toy donations can be dropped off at our office at 960 Govan Road or in Asda Govan.
